With 16 years' experience as a charter skipper and fishing in Shetland since 2010 i know the waters very well. I work the tides and eddies to make sure you catch qaulity fish time after time.
2016 was my 6th season in Shetland and I can honestly say that in 35 years of sea angling around the British Isles , I have never experienced such exiting fishing and such quality fish, day after day. When we go to sea the discussion is often, do you want to go for 20 plus Cod or big Ling on the wrecks. When we have had a good haul of Cod we may have time to get you a 30 to 40 lbs ling on the wrecks...
Cod to 46lbs, Pollack 20 lbs, Coalfish 32 lbs new Scottish record. Ling to 58lbs, Turbot 29 lbs ( Scottish Record) ,Anglerfish 17 lbs, Hake 21 lbs, Haddock 10 lbs, We are returning Cod and Coalfish over 20 lbs. This fishing is wild and on the edge. Where else in the UK can you experience angling like this? We have had many anglers who have fished Norway making it clear this is better for quality of fish and a lot easier to get to, with less cost.
We have broken three Scottish records Torsk 17 lbs, Coalfish 32 lbs 5 oz and Turbot at 29 lbs.
